چکیده
Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a hematological malignancy, is associated with the accumulation of lymphoblasts in hematopoietic tissues and peripheral blood (PB). A major obstacle ALL treatment failure to undergo apoptosis, thus resulting relapses. Cyclophosphamide an alkylating agent widely used treat various cancers. BV6 another agent, under preclinical clinical trials, which inhibits function inhibitors apoptosis proteins (IAPs) cells. According previous studies, IAPs are highly overexpressed Also, intrinsic pathway reported be dysfunctional cells, making new promising option due its potential induce extrinsic cell death as well. Methods: In current study, inhibitory effect combinational cyclophosphamide was studied on growth eleven patients using MTT test. Subsequently, TNF-α secretion Finally, we measured DNA fragmentation rates treated cells Results: The results indicated synergistic between drugs viability impact cotreatment increased time-dependent manner. We also found that BV6, but not cyclophosphamide, induces secretion, activating Conclusion: by inducing pathways, overcomes resistance. These suggest use for patients. Inhibition helps overcome can improve prognosis

Cyclosporin A induces apoptosis in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells.
In an effort to identify novel antileukemic agents that can bypass the mechanisms of multidrug resistance, we found that cyclosporin A ([CyA] 5 mumol/L) produced a median cell kill of 69% (range, 47% to 85%) in seven B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cell lines (OP-1, SUP-B15, KOPN-55bi, RS4;11, NALM6, REH, and 380) and three T-lineage ALL cell lines (MOLT4, CCRF-CEM, and CEM-C7) aft...
متن کاملZerumbone induces apoptosis in T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells.
Zerumbone (ZER) is a potential anticancer natural compound, isolated from Zingiber zerumbet Smith. In this investigation, the anticancer properties of ZER were evaluated on cancer cells of T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia, CEM-ss. The results showed that ZER has cytotoxic effect against CEM-ss cells with an IC(50) of 8.4 ± 1.9 μg/ml (coefficient of variation < 30%). Comparatively, 5-fluorouracil ...
متن کاملExpression Profile of Wnt Molecules in Leukemic Cells from Iranian Patients with Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia
Background: Wnt molecules play a key role in growth, proliferation and development of some embryonic and adult organs as well as hematopoietic stem cells. Wnt signaling pathways are aberrantly activated in many tumor types, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Objective: To investigate the expression profile of a large number of Wnt genes in leukemic cells from Iranian patients ...
متن کاملGallic Acid Inhibits Proliferation and Induces Apoptosis in Lymphoblastic Leukemia Cell Line (C121)
AbstractLeukemia is known as the world’s fifth most prevalent cancer. New cytotoxic drugs have created considerable progress in the treatment, but side effects are still the important cause of mortality. Plant derivatives have been recently considered as important sources for the treatment of various diseases, including cancer. Gallic acid (GA) is a polyhydroxyphenolic compound with a wide rang...
متن کاملImmunophenotypic Subtyping of Leukemic Cells from Iranian Patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia: Association to Disease Outcome
Background: Immunophenotypic characterization of the leukemic cells has been widely used as a tool for diagnosis, classification, stratification and prognosis of leukaemia. Objective: To investigate the immunophenotypic subtype profiles of Iranian patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and its association to disease outcome. Methods: In this study, a total of 60 Iranian patients with ...
